Asakusa rickshaw rides at a glance

Rickshaws wait on the streets near Kaminarimon, and the driver pulls you through Asakusa on foot. It is a commercial ride and has nothing to do with the temple. The fare does not include any temple fee, and a visit to Senso-ji is free anyway.

The prices below come from one Asakusa operator, Ebisuya, and apply to 2026. All amounts include tax and are for one vehicle, not per person. Other operators set their own fares and routes, so treat this as an example.

Tips for choosing a ride

Pick the length by what you want to see

The short ride gives you a taste of the streets near the gate. A longer ride leaves room for stops. Ask what the route covers when you book, as routes differ between operators.

Check the price before you start

Fares are listed per vehicle and per duration, so you can compare before you sit down. Confirm the total, including any extras.

Book early for a long ride

If you want a longer ride or a specific driver, a reservation is possible. The shortest ride can only be taken on the spot.

Think about the day

A ride works well after the temple, when your feet are tired. See opening hours to plan the order.
